Ruthenium Salen Complex Immobilized on FeNi3 Magnetic Nanoparticles: The Efficient, Green and Reusable Nanocatalyst for Heck and Suzuki Coupling Reactions
FeNi3 as a new magnetic nanoparticles supported ruthenium salencomplex (FeNi3/SiO2/Salen/Ru MNPs) was successfully prepared by attaching ruthenium acetates to a novel N,NA '-bis(salicylidine)ethylenediamine ligand functionalized FeNi3. The as-prepared catalyst was characterized by N-2 sorption, UV-vis, TGA, XRD, FTIR, VSM, and TEM. It was found to be an efficient catalyst for Heck and Suzuki coupling reactions in aqueous medium. High catalytic activity and ease of recovery from the reaction mixture using external magnet, and several reuse times without significant losses in performance are additional eco-friendly attributes of this catalytic system.
