Lifetime of the V’(2)=1 (A)over-Bar State of Nd3 Measured by 2-Color Deep-UV Femtosecond Multiphoton Ionization Spectroscopy
The photodissociation lifetime of the v(2)’ = 1 band of the A state of gas phase ND3 has been directly measured using two-color deep-UV (similar to 200 nm) femtosecond multiphoton ionization spectroscopy. The rotationally averaged lifetime of 2.6 +/- 0.1 ps compares favorably with the values obtained by previous line width studies.
