The determination of the power number as a design parameter is strongly dependent on geometrical conditions. Due to the internal interactions, spacing between impellers is crucial - especially for axial pumping impellers. Furthermore, different baffle geometries influence the power consumption of the impellers. This paper shows a systematic evaluation of an axial multi-impeller system. By varying the baffle configuration, a characterization of the power input as well as the homogenization performance was obtained.
