Biofuel production from Prosopis juliflora in fluidized bed reactor
Fast pyrolysis is an emerging technique, in which heat is applied (400-550 degrees C) to the material in an inert atmosphere, and it is converted into energy-rich fuels and value-added chemicals. In the present study, Prosopis juliflora was selected, and the biooil production study was carried out in fluidized bed reactor at different pyrolytic temperatures and particle size. The maximum biooil yield of 62.5%wt was obtained at 450 degrees C with the particles of size 0.25-0.50 mm. The energy closure was arrived as 58.05%.
