Sucrose를 이용한 활성탄의 제조 - KOH 활성화
Preparation of Activated Carbon from Sucrose Char - KOH Activation
Activated carbon was prepared from yellow sucrose by chemical activation with KOH. The preparation process was carried out by carbonization, chemical activation, washing, and dry. The activation temperature, the activation time and the chemical ratio of activation agents were optimized in the chemical activation step. Optimal carbonization temperature and time was found to be 600 ℃ and 1hr, respectively. N2-BET surface areas were measured as about 753~1687 m(2)/g with 100~300 wt% chemical ratio of KOH. Total pore volume and average pore radius were determined as about 0.35~0.84 cm(3)/g and 24-26 Å, respectively.
