Methanation of carbon dioxide over nanocatalysts prepared by cold plasma deposition
New Co and Ru nanocatalysts for methanation of CO2 were prepd. by plasma-enhanced metal-org. CVD on metallic structural supports. The Co3O4 or RuO2-contg. thin films of the nanocatalysts were used for conversion of CO2 with H-2 (mole ratio 1:4) to MeH in a gradientless flow reactor at 150-500 degrees C and atm. pressure. The exptl. results revealed a high catalytic activity of the deposited films. The RuO2 catalyst showed higher activity than the Co3O4 one.
