Direct time-resolved spectroscopic investigation of intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer of deoxyblebbistatin
The photophysics and photochemistry of deoxyblebbistatin was investigated using femtosecond timeresolved transient absorption spectroscopy. An ultrafast intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer (IHAT) appears to take place via the first singlet excited state of deoxyblebbistatin within 8 ps. Absorption and fluorescence photochemical results indicate the IHAT process leads to mainly conversion of deoxyblebbistatin into an enol form final product which was observed and characterized by resonance Raman spectroscopy.
