A paper published in this issue of Protein Expression and Purification deserves special attention. It is entitled: Development of Polyol-Responsive Antibody Mimetics for Single-Step Protein Purification, with authors Richard Suderman, Daren Rice, Shane Gibson, Eric Strick and David Chao from Nectagen Inc in Kansas City, KS [1]. I find this to be a particularly interesting and important paper that is likely to contribute greatly to the field of highly specific affinity chromatographic purification of proteins and protein complexes under mild elution conditions.
