Two com. petroleum bitumens were modified by addn. of polyethylene wax (up to 5% by mass) at 150-170 degrees C for 60 min. The addn. resulted in increasing the softening and breaking temps., dynamic viscosity at 60 degrees C and penetration index. The wax addn. did not effect the operational conditions of the paving.
