Two com. demulsifiers and a lab, synthesized one were used for sepn. of water (together with dissolved salts) from an artificial water-crude oil emulsion. Accelerated sepn. of emulsion by using an appropriate centrifuge and the bottle test were used for the study. The addn. of a mixt. of demulsifiers (up to 40 ppm) resulted in a full removal of water.
