Polycarbonate and polypropylene nonwovens were produced by melt-blown extrusion in presence of alc. soln. of rosin (concn. 0,1-5,0%). The efficiency of filtration was established by measuring the no. of particles not blocked by the filtering nonwovens. The highest filtration efficiency showed the polypropylene nonwovens (0,1% rosin concentration).
