Superhydrophobic copper coating: Switchable wettability, on-demand oil-water separation, and antifouling
Superhydrophobic fabrics coated by copper particles without any surface modifier become underwater superoleophobic and underoil superhydrophobic after 1-min oxidation by 0.4 M H2O2. Taking advantage of the special wettability, the oxidized fabrics can be used for on-demand oil-water separation without any continuous external stimulus. Moreover, the superamphiphobic coating can recover to superhy-drophobicity via a simple vacuum drying, which favors the realization of excellent antifouling property. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V.
