Synthesis of Polyamide Carboxylic Acid Containing Amino Acid via Amidocarbonylation
Herein, we synthesize and characterize polyamide carboxylic acids containing amino acid by polymerization via the amidocarbonylation of bifunctional components. Cobaltcatalyzed hydroformylation followed by intermolecular amidocarbonylation of alkenoic acid amide yields the head-to-tail polyamide carboxylic acid with a structure resembling that of.polyglutamic acid constructed from the long-chain homologous of glutamic acid. Conversely, palladium-catalyzed amidocarbonylation of an equimolar amount of diamide and dialdehyde yields head-to-head polyamide carboxylic acid that contains the linear long-chain homolog of bis-a-amino acid.
