Gas streams from coal combustion and lime burning were considered as CO2 sources for Na2CO3 and Na2CO3 prodn. after sepn. by chem. absorption. A recycling of CO2 from the process waste gases was also assumed. As results, a reduction of CO2 emission and an improvement in economy of the soda prodn. were expected.
