Polydiallyldimethylammonium, hettadecyltrimethylammonium and dimethylhexadecylammonium (I) bisulfates were synthesized and added to positive electrode materials used in Pb-acid battery cells to det. the effect of ionic liqs. on the operational characteristics of the cells (discharge capacity). Only the addn. of 1 bisulfate resulted in an increase in the cell capacity.
