Agglomeration of solid fuels in a roll press
Fines of lignite and bituminous coal were briquetted after addn. of molasses, magnofloc, wheat starch, carboxymethyl cellulose and slaked lime. The addn. of molasses resulted in the highest drop strength of the briquettes (above 90%).
