Coating of leguminosarum seeds with collagen hydrolyzates from tanning waste
Collagen hydrolyzate made of tanning wastes was used (in a mixt. with dolomite or chalk powders and a dye) as a pelletizer to encapsulate legume seeds. The seeds were coated in a plate granulator, studied for coating stability (up to 15 days) and sown into dry or wet soils (18-30 degrees C, humidity 30-45%). The coating resulted in a small increase in the settling length.
