The phenomena in horizontal pneumatic conveying of powder were experimentally investigated by using a Mohno pump. Frequency distribution of the plugs, the characteristics of plug velocity, plug length, pressure gradient and solid friction factor were clarified concerning the variation of the pipe diameter, speed of pump rotation and air velocity.
