Techniques to Remove Traces of Oxygen byCatalytic Conversion from Gas Mixtures
This review presents the technical possibilities of removing traces of oxygen in process gases. The processes are divided into physical and chemical processes. The focus is on the catalytic removal of oxygen traces in gas streams. The descriptions present catalyst systems based on precious metals and non-precious metals. In most studies, methane, which is present in excess, is converted with small amounts of oxygen (<1vol%). The reaction-inhibiting gases examined were carbon dioxide and water vapor.
