The evaluation of (Ta1/2Cu1/2)Sr2GdCu2O8-delta as an intercalation cathode material for lithium non-aqueous batteries
The use of (Ta1/2Cu1/2)Sr2GdCu2O8-delta as a cathode caterial for lithium non-aqueous batteries based on a LiAsF6 in propylene carbonate electrolyte is described. Results are presented for the discharge-charge characteristics on cycling. The cell behaviour is discussed in terms of the lithium intercalation process. The effect of chemically prelithiating the materials by a chemical process has been investigated.
