Study on poly(ethylene-oxide) electrolytes with ionophores for lithium batteries
Kinetics and mechanism for the electrodeposition of lithium from tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether electrolytes formed from lithium perchlorate and ionophores have been studied using voltammetric and chronoamperometric methods at Pt and Au electrodes. The ionophore influence on stripping efficiencies, nucleation overpotentials, exchange current densities was evaluated. The type of nucleation and crystal growth process was determined.
