Progress with sealed Ni-Zn cells in the period 1996-1998 is reviewed. No dramatic improvements stemming from R & D on cells were observed. Presently, the cells of Energy Research (ERC) seem to be the best and most widely used. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
