SOLUBILITIES OF D(-)-FRUCTOSE AND D(+)-GLUCOSE IN SUBCRITICAL AND SUPERCRITICAL CARBON-DIOXIDE
The solubilities of two saccharides D(-)-fructose and D(+)-glucose in subcritical and supercritical carbon dioxide have been measured experimentally by using a semiflow apparatus over the temperature range from 308.2 to 348.2 K at pressures from 40.6 to 214.0 bar. The retrograde solubility behavior exists in both systems. For each isotherm, the measured mole fractions of saccharides are correlated with the reduced density of carbon dioxide or total pressure.
