MUTUAL SOLUBILITY OF 1-BUTANOL AND CARBON-DIOXIDE, ETHENE, ETHANE, OR PROPANE AT A REDUCED SUPERCRITICAL SOLVENT TEMPERATURE OF 1.03
Phase equilibria of 1-butanol in carbon dioxide, ethene, ethane, and propane have been investigated at a reduced temperature of 1.03 of the supercritical gases corresponding to 290.8 K for ethene, 313.4 K for carbon dioxide, 314.4 K for ethane, and 381.0 K for propane and pressures from 1.60 to 8.31 MPa. Experimental and smoothed phase compositions are reported as a function of pressure in tabular and graphical forms. A summary of published experimental equilibrium data on alcohols and ethene, ethane, or propane is also presented and the data for the 1-butanol-carbon dioxide system are compared with published data showing good agreement.
