Solubilities of carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen in aqueous ethylene glycol solution under low pressures
The solubilities of carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen in aqueous ethylene glycol(EG) solution with EG mass fraction 0.365 were measured at temperatures from (263-293) K and pressures from (0.009-0.101) MPa based on an isochoric saturation method. A new experimental setup was built and checked by measuring the solubility of carbon dioxide in water. The expanded uncertainty (k = 2) of the measured solubility data was estimated to be less than 4.0%. The experimental results of carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen in aqueous EG solution were successfully correlated with a modified Krichevsky-Kasarnovsky equation. The absolute average deviations of the experimental and fitted values were 5.2%, 3.2%, and 2.6%, respectively. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
