Recovery of Rare Metals from High-Boiling Petroleum Fractions
The possibility of recovering compounds of rare and other valuable metals from bottom ash from the combustion of high-boiling petroleum fractions (HBF BA) by chlorination in a fluidized bed reactor hasbeen shown. The reactivity of the main HBF BA components has been found to decrease in the order: MoO3 > V2O5 > NiO > Fe2O3.The conditions for running the process to enable a high rate of recovery of rare and other valuable metals have been determined.
