Effect of the conditions of modification of vegetable oils on their properties as lubricants
Two corn. vegetable oils were modified by 02 oxidn. in supercrit. CO, solvent at 80-120 degrees C under pressure 150 bar in presence of N-hydroxyphthalimide as a free-radical catalyst. Use of the CO, solvent resulted in decreasing viscosity, peroxide value and acid no. of the oils.
