Essential influence of electrode and electrolyte temperatures on the anodizing process of Ti
Recently, anodic TiO2 nanotubes have attracted increasing attention. Most studies only consider electrolyte temperature, but few consider electrode temperature, and no one has analyzed effects of the two temperatures on electronic current and ionic current. According to the constant-voltage current-fitting formula, effects of electrolyte and electrode temperature on ionic and electronic current are discussed quantitatively, respectively. It is concluded that electrolyte temperature mainly affects ionic current while the increase of the electrode temperature can accelerate the generation and rise rate of the electronic current. In addition, "spherical explosion" morphology formed at high temperature is proposed and schematically explained.
