A novel insight of the effect of sodium chloride on the sulfidization flotation of cerussite
Effects of sodium chloride on the sulfidization flotation of cerussite (PbCO3) were investigated by micro-flotation tests, adsorption tests and zeta potential measurements. The micro-flotation test results indicated that sodium chloride effectively improved the sulfidization flotation performance of cerussite. The electrical double layers of cerussite particles were compressed in sodium chloride solution, thus providing more lead sites on the cerussite surface and promoting the adsorption of sulfide ions. In sodium chloride solution, more lead sulfide species were formed on the cerussite surfaces and improved its sulfidization flotation performance. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
