Facile, controllable tune of blue shift or red shift of the fluorescence emission of solid-state carbon dots
A facile approach for the fluorescence tuning of solid-state carbon dots (CDs) by changing combination strategy of CDs and metal organic frameworks (MOFs) is reported. One is to embed amine-functionalized CDs into MOFs skeleton surface or hole by two-step process. Another is directly preparing novel MOFs with CDs as skeleton center by one-pot hydrothermal reaction. Different synthesis methods lead to red-shift or blue-shift for the fluorescence emission of CDs. The reasons of emission modulation of CDs have been discussed in this paper. Phosphor with bright white light can be obtained by mixing the samples prepared by above two strategies, which can be applied to white light emitting devices.
