High-pressure Effect on a Proton-conducting Metal-Organic Framework, LaCr(C2O4)(3)center dot 10H(2)O
We report on pressure-dependent proton (H+) conductivity of LaCr(C2O4)(3)center dot 10H(2)O. The compound undergoes a crystal-to-crystal phase transition at around 2 GPa, which triggers a rapid decrease in H+ conductivity associated with an increase of activation energy. The shrinkage of H+-conducting channel is considered to play an important role of the decrease in H+ conductivity.
