Thermodynamic properties of ternary mixture {[C(4)mim][SCN] + acetic or propionic acid plus acetonitrile} over the temperature range of (293.15-313.15) K
The present investigation deals with the possible molecular interactions (such as intra and inter) between the component molecules in liquid mixtures by the addition of the third component (acetonitrile) to the ([C(4)mim][SCN] + acetic or propionic acid) binary system. Therefore, we present the excess molar volume (V-123(E)), isentropic compressibility (k(s)) and deviation in isentropic compressibility (Delta k(s123)) for the ternary systems {[C(4)mim][SCN] + acetic or propionic acid + acetonitrile} at temperature range of (293.15-313.15) K and at a pressure of 0.1 MPa with aid of density (rho), speed of sound (u) measurements. Satisfactory correlation for the excess properties have been obtained using the Cibulka equation with the aid of Redlich-Kister parameters fitted to the corresponding binary systems obtained from literature data. Furthermore, the results obtained from the present study were discussed in terms of molecular interactions and effect of temperature on interactions. (C) 2019 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
