Synthesis of a Redox-active Metal-Organic Framework MIL-116(Fe) and Its Lithium Ion Battery Cathode Properties
A metal-organic framework of iron (III) and mellitic acid was synthesized. The crystal structure of the MOF determined by single crystal X-ray analysis was isostructural to MIL-116. It was applied as a lithium-ion battery cathode active material and showed a performance of ca. 100mAh/g after 60 cycles. It also showed capacitance of 43mAh/g at a 10C rate.
