Electrospun Cobalt-Doped MoS2 Nanofibers for Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution
Cobalt (Co)-incorporated MoS2 nanofibers were fabricated via a facile electrospinning method followed by sulfurization process. Co atoms in the molybdenum oxide nanofibers altered the morphology and crystal structure according to sulfurization time. The well-anchored Co-incorporated MoS2 sheets on the nanofiber surface acted as active edge sites for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), which exhibited high activity with an onset potential of approximately -170 mV vs NHE with a Tafel slope of 60 mV/dec. The overpotential was -330 mV vs NHE at 10 mA/cm(2). (C) 2019 The Electrochemical Society.
