Evaluation of a possibility of producing fertilizers based on brown algae from anthropogenically transformed regions of the Black Sea
Samples of algae taken from the sea water near urban areas as well as rural areas were mineralized at 450 degrees C and treated with HNO3 soln. to det. their elemental compn. The place of sampling did not affect on their chem. compn. High content of N, K and Ca and low content of heavy metals in the tested samples indicated their usefulness in agriculture as fertilizers.
