Optimization of technology for simultaneous extraction of flavonoids and polyphenols from cedrus pine needles by response surface methodology
Conditions of microwave-assisted simultaneous extn. of flavonoids and polyphenols from cedar pine needles were optimized by single factor test under response surface methodol. (microwave power 700 W) to found the optimum EtOH concn., microwave treatment time and solid-liq. ratio in the extn. system. The 3-factor combination test was carried out by using exptL Box-Behnken design (expert 8.0 software). At the optimal extn. conditions (EtOH concn. 60%, microwave treatment time 148 s and solid-to-liq. ratio 28.5), the yields of flavonoids and polyphenols were 4.91% and 8.79%, resp.
