New method for extracting physical parameters of PV generators combining an implemented genetic algorithm and the simulated annealing algorithm
The characterization at indoor conditions is insufficient to study the behavior of PV generators physical parameters depending on environmental factors. For this purpose, current-voltage (I-V) characteristics measurements of a monocrystalline PV module are taken using an appropriate I-V curve tracer previously designed for sampling measurements under real operating conditions. In order to accurately extract the PV generator physical parameters, a new method is implemented. The proposed method is based on the combination of a developed genetic algorithm and the simulated annealing algorithm. The evolution of the physical parameters of the single diode model as a function of temperature is presented and discussed. Empirical laws reported in the literature that describe the evolution of the physical parameters with temperature are checked with the extraction results.
