Estimation on the usage efficiency of cathode material has been carried out-by Monte Carlo simulation with respect to both nonconductive systems such as MnO2 and conductive systems such as Ca0.9La0.1MnO2.97. Calculated results indicate that the discharge capacity per unit volume of the latter system is comparable or slightly larger than that of the former one.
