Potential Distribution in Semiconductor Particles
The potential distribution inside spherical semiconductor particles with arbitrary doping profiles has been derived. Both polynomial and exponential-graded doping densities have been considered. With the derived expressions, the maximum attainable potential drop within a single particle can be calculated. For a highly defected surface, this maximum potential drop appears to be much larger than usually is assumed.
