An Experimental-Study of Iron Corrosion in Sulfuric-Acid-Solution Containing Inhibitors by Noise Measurement
The corrosion of pure iron was studied by electrochemical noise potential measurements in 0.5 mol/dm(3) H2SO4 containing dibenzyl sulfoxide and plenyl thiourea, respectively, as the inhibitor. The corrosion current density was found to be inversely proportional to the mean square of the potential noise. The proportionality constant was determined with solution analysis and harmonic analysis.
