Hydrotreating of Middle Petroleum Fractions of Various Compositions in the Presence of Catalysts Immobilized in Pores of Aromatic Frameworks
Sulfide catalysts PAF-FC-1-NiWS and PAF-FC-1-NiMoS synthesized by the decomposition of the [N(n-Bu)(4)](2)[Ni(MeS4)(2)] (Me = Mo/W) thiosalt in pores of the PAF-FC-1 mesoporous aromatic framework and a PAF-FC-1-Mo catalyst synthesized by the immobilization of molybdenum carbonyl have been tested in the hydrotreating of middle petroleum fractions of various compositions in a batch reactor at 380 degrees C and a hydrogen pressure of 5.0 MPa. Reaction products have been analyzed by the simulated distillation methods using gas chromatography and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis. It has been found that the initial composition of the fractions does not affect either the fractional composition of the products or the sulfur content after hydrotreating.
