Canna Lily Red and Yellow Flower Extracts: A New Power Source to Produce Photovoltage through Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells
The application of colorful blooming flowers to mitigate the energy crisis in a green manner by harnessing solar energy is the main focus of this research. Various colored floras are the powerhouse of the inexplicable chemical composition of various natural pigments, from which canna lily red and canna lily yellow extracts are used as photosensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cell application. In this current investigation, TiO2 is implemented as a photoanode for device fabrication. The compatibility of canna dyes with TiO2 produce a high charge collection efficiency of 95.82% studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The solar cell performance parameters are fine-tuned with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, justifying various resistances at different interfaces.
