Binary- and Pure-Component Adsorption of CO2, H2O, and C6H14 on SSZ-13
Adsorption isotherms on Na-SSZ-13, a small-pore zeolite, for pure-component adsorbates CO2, H2O, and C6H14 were measured using a gravimetric adsorption instrument with a temperature range between 30 and 100 degrees C. These isotherm data were fit to a multisite Langmuir adsorption model. Using the same gravimetric adsorption instrument, binary adsorption isotherms for the adsorbate pairs CO2-H2O and CO2-C6H14 were measured with a temperature range between 30 and 80 degrees C. These data demonstrated that the increasing loading of either H2O or C6H14 impacted the loading of CO2 on Na-SSZ-13. The binary isotherm data were compared with ideal adsorbed solution theory and showed relatively good agreement between the data and modeling.
