This article considers the effect of initial ion energy and quadrupole rod length on transmission percentage of ions through the mass filter for a computer simulation of the quadrupole mass analyzer. It also examines the effect of aperture for the mass filter with sinusoidal rf ac and rf ac with harmonics.
