Fungistatic activity of infusions of lavender flowers Lavandula angustifolia Mill., sage leaves Salvia officinalis L., caraway fruit Carum carvi L, peppermint leaves Mentha x piperita L, chamomile baskets Matricaria chamomilla L, and fennel fruit Foeniculum capillaceum Gilib against Fusarium poae, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium culmorum, and Fusarium graminearum was studied by a modified diffusion method. The activity of the studied infusions depended on the plant species and the sensitivity of microorganisms. The mint infusions had the highest concn. of polyphenols and showed the highest limiting and inhibiting capacity of the tested fungi. The herbal infusions were recommended to use in org. crop protection.
