Jurassic limestone with a grain size of up to 50 mm and a bulk d. of 2700 kg/m(3) was crushed in 2 industrial installations by using a roller mill or a roller-bowl mill. The granulometric compn. of the products was analyzed. The roller-bowl mill products contained 80% by mass of grains less than 10 mu m in size, compared to 33 mu m from the roller mill.
