Occurence of polycyclic arom. hydrocarbons (PAH) in 3 Polish forest soils (Kozienice Landscape Park) was detd. in the soil profile by high performance liq. chromatog. The PAH with 3 and 4 rings moved faster than the 5 and 6 rings ones. Their accumulation depended on the total of org. matter in the soil but did not depend on the soil pH and granulation.
