Analysis of biomaterials comminution process in a roller mill with inter-roll plate in terms of CO2 emissions. Part I. Model components
Rice grains were comminuted in a mill using a variable gap size between rolls and variable angular speeds of the rolls. The impact of the parameters on energy consumption, comminution efficiency and content of selected dimensional fractions of the product was examined. The increase in the size of the grinding gap and the angular velocity of the rollers resulted in an increase in power consumption and grinding yield.
