A correlation between process parameters and product quality is evaluated in an experimental mould equipped with pressure transducers and thermocouples, Based on the experimental investigations a simulation program for the rheological and thermal mould design has been developed. The program allows the calculation of flow patterns, pressures and temperatures as well as scorch-index and curing rate. The calculated results show significant aggreement with experiments.
