The clutch attains beside its role as a linking element in drive technology increasingly in meaning as a system element. In particular the flexible clutch gaines thereby a great importance in influencing torsional vibration. By the example of a flightship the clutch design under constructional and dynamic aspects is described. Furthermore a mechanical component is presented, that gives the characteristic of a frequency-selective damping to the clutch.
